Microsoft co-founder and billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates recently spoke with MIT Technology Review about his latest plan to convert all first world Western nations to a steady diet of fake meat.
An early investor in Beyond Meat, which manufactures artificial beef, Gates says the wealthiest countries in the world need to be eating “100 percent synthetic beef” because of global warming. Gates and other “elitists,” on the other hand, can still eat real meat because their actions do not contribute to climate change.
“I do think all rich countries should move to 100 percent synthetic beef,” Gates stated plainly, pointing to bovine flatulence, aka cow farts, as “evidence” that human consumption of real meat is destroying the planet.
“You can get used to the taste difference, and the claim is they’re going to make it taste even better over time. Eventually, that green premium is modest enough that you can sort of change the [behavior of] people or use regulation to totally shift the demand.”
Even though humans have been consuming meat for thousands of years without issue, Gates says that today the practice is collapsing the planet and must be stopped by converting all meat to genetically modified (GMO) soybean-based alternatives, as one example.
Because soybeans and other toxic chemicals used in Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods fake meat products do not fart like cows do, Gates says they are clearly the “green” option for saving the planet from global warming.
“There are all the things where they feed them different food, like there’s this one compound that gives you a 20 percent reduction [in methane emissions],” Gates claims about how scientists are striving to make cows less polluting through genetic engineering.
“But sadly, those bacteria [in their digestive system that produce methane] are a necessary part of breaking down the grass,” he added. “And so, I don’t know if there’ll be some natural approach there. I’m afraid the synthetic [protein alternatives like plant-based burgers] will be required for at least the beef thing.
Since it is apparently too expensive to convert every poor nation to synthetic meat, Gates has set his sights on making the change in “wealthier” Western nations like the United States and Canada.
“So, for meat in the middle-income-and-above countries, I do think it’s possible,” Gates says.
“But it’s one of those ones where, wow, you have to track it every year and see, and the politics [are challenging]. There are all these bills that say it’s got to be called, basically, lab garbage to be sold. They don’t want us to use the beef label.”
Gates also has concerns about burping livestock, which release gas into the air that he insists is warming the planet. If animals that burp and fart are not completely eliminated from existence and replaced with Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods factories, then the entire global ecosystem will collapse, according to Gates.
“There are [companies], including one in the [Breakthrough Energy Ventures] portfolio called Pivot Bio, that significantly reduce the amount of fertilizer you need,” Gates answered when asked about animal “pollution” and how to deal with it.
Gates, by the way, has a vested interest in Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
“Breakthrough Energy has four different investments in this space for making the ingredients very efficiently,” he added about other technologies this company in which he invests is working on to synthesize artificial meat.
“Bill Gates started his career by brilliantly ripping off IBM,” wrote one Big League Politics commenter. “Since then, it’s all been downhill.”
